Interesting... Devils could use some help on the back end and although he isn't a beast mentally, his size is a plus with that skating ability. I think I would really enjoy watching him in a Devils uni. What would it cost? and do you think a move back to the east would be easier for him ? I know he isn't that elite guy he was supposed to be but for the right price I would take a low risk high reward move on a 6'7 defence man who can skate and hopefully create some offence from the back end on a team that struggled to do so mightily lol. Plus we do have loads of cap to play with...

Nothing should be even considered with Myers until the Trouba contract gets extended

This makes no sense, Winnipeg just went through a season where their top 6 dmen didn't play a single game together. Myers isn't going to go anywhere, we have no idea what is happening with Trouba, the health of the blue line never lasts a whole season, and there is no depth. Yes in an ideal world they have 3 RHD who should be playing in the top 4, but that's a problem a lot of teams would like to have.

Re-visit this closer to trade deadline next Year as more would be known then. Maybe Trouba asks for a trade again, maybe Buff is hurt, Maybe Myers is hurt, etc. Having a health Myers is not the main worry of this team. Focus on G, LHD and D depth.

I don't understand? We want to improve our bottom pair, but may not want to keep Myers who is obviously an improvement on our bottom pair? That makes no sense!! We are only paying him 3.5 next year and 3 million the year after. We can not afford to lose Myers. Injuries WILL happen and he will not be bottom pair all year.

Your blue line looks better than the leafs'. Maybe a coaching change is needed?

Myers needs to stay, contract is fantastic and he can play on any pairing on any night.

A goalie is the priority and with Darling and Bishop off the market it is getting dicey. Look at MAF and Schneider sure but I believe both have NMC with their contracts. After that who is left that is a massive upgrade to Hellybuck?

Raslovic or if you have to Conner for a legit top end LHD and they are out there would be a move to consider as well.

Jets will always have a tough task attracting players so hopefully the draw of a young, very skilled team has some allure to the player.

Trade him for Eberle.

Howard on Detroit makes sense, mason, bernier or Elliot are not horrible options

I agree about Connor and raslovik, I like them both but if we can move one for a young d it gives us protection to handle trouba situation if he wants out. I have always said we will get more value trading trouba for a forward than d.

Would you give up Josh Morrisey for Myers? I doubt teams will give us a Brady Skyjie type guy. I think you are on the right track with Dano or Raslovik but it would be for a lesser valued younger D, who probably hasn't cracked the NHL yet

I wouldn't give up Morrissey for anything but another Trouba. That said, Nee York is very dumb, so they might give up Skjei. Let's remember that both Staal and Girardi are making over $5,000,000 per year.
Also, Sanheim? Bowey maybe? Who's a close-to-NHL-ready youngin?

I think Skjie is one of the only untouchables on the Rangers. He is their only young future top 4 D. You don't move guys like that, like we would not be moving Morrisey.

The only deal that I would make for Myers would involve getting a guy like Duchene out of Colorado. I think there is a deal to be had there.

Avs are in full rebuild, they will want someone younger and under team control longer than Myers.

Jets have a better Bozak in Little. TO can keep Bozak.
